I’ve had this vacuum a few months now. I do like it but I use this vac in my business and I have to say that I find that I am frustrated with the attachments! The brush attachment, I can’t understand why they designed the brush to come off the attachment! I swear I’m losing my mind over this, it does not stay! They should have put a snap closure or something on it. I understand it’s good when you want to replace the brush with a new one but in the mean time I can’t get mine to say on when I’m using it. And furthermore the brush won’t stay on the vacuum when I put it away and now it’s lost. I can’t find it anywhere! Maybe that’s a good thing?? The roller brush for upholstery and stair carpeting is a nice feature however the location of the holder on the vac isn’t the best, though I’m not sure any other place would be better because of the design. The foam filter in the front needs to be cleaned every time I use it as it loses suction which I guess is understandable. I pull the foam out and return the drawer it’s in and I turn the vacuum on and suck out the dirt with the hose. This has been done many times now and the foam does seem to be standing up fairly well. I have not tried to hand wash it yet to see if I can extend the use but so far so good. I’m hoping I won’t have to replace the filter for atleast another month. The vacuum does have good suction if you maintain it properly and the beater bar does agitate the carpet well. The settings all work well for adjustments. It does pick up pet hair and other debris fairly well on hard surfaces on the floor setting. I do have to say that getting the canister back into place can be a a minor pain because the cord that is wound up on the side the door to inhibit the canister from ligning up with the “out take” when returning the canister. However you can use your thumb to push the cord out of the way to place the canister in its spot and it clicks when it’s positioned correctly. The canister design is nice with the dropping door at the bottom. You also can open the top and twist and pull out the hard plastic pre filter at the top to clean it which is also a nice touch... I’m noticing the wheels seem to wobbling a little and I wonder if something is wearing out but time will tell. I do use this vacuum 3 days a week. Right now I would recommend someone to buy this vacuum. Even though the attachments design is flawed, overall this is a good vacuum to use. It does clean the carpets well! I do feel that in today’s standards this product is worth its somewhat inexpensive price. The only thing I do like is the suction power. When you detach handle and insert hose to reach high or awkward places the hose keeps slipping out of the handle requiring you to stop, put the vacuum down and reinsert hose. Which happens repeatedly. The hose is very stiff and doesn't stretch far at all without lifting the whole vacuum. Very cheap outer coating on the electrical cord which has been chewed off by the roller brush after I vacuumed over it!! Now who may I ask has never done this?! I would expect maybe years later but not witin the first week. Of course the warranty will not cover this. Man at the Bissell service center told me it happened because of the superior quality of the roller brush. I just retired an Oreck which is of very high quality and never had a problem with the power cord and I'm sure I vacuumed over it many times in its 20+ years of service. I do like the bagless canister and that it can be taken apart to be cleaned. The little upholstery brush keeps coming apart everytime I use it. All and all I give this vacuum a hands down for its cheap quality components and how difficult it is to use its extension hose.EDIT- I've been using my Bissell now for awhile and getting better results as I've been in the process of getting used to it, breaking it in as you will like a new pair of shoes. Since my previous review l mentioned the difficulty with the house attachment slipping off the handle while reaching to higher places. It will still slip off occasionally but I've started lifting the vacuum by the handle on the canister not from the upper handle. Lifting entire vacuum while using the hose attachment feature makes It less awkward. It has great suction power and the roller brush really gets your floors super clean. I'm amazed at what I see in the canister! I have part hardwood floors, linoleum and Berber carpet and it works magnificently on all three. I keep the same setting for pile height for them all. I have three birds and an outdoor-indoor cat and the vacuum gets everything up from fine pet hair to bird seed and feathers. I have applied electrical tape around the portion of power cord that was stripped of its outer coating and trying to be careful not to vacuum over it or other things that might get under the vacuum. My opinion has improved since my first review because of the excellant customer service. I was directed from GE's 1-800 number to a local Bissell repair shop and the owner was completely helpful and understanding. He made the suggestion of wrapping the damaged chord with the electrical tape and to use the cord clip on the back of the handle to help keep it up and out of the way. So my vacuum and l are getting along much better now. I think I'll keep her!Es pequena, facil de usar, practica y potente. Facil de vaciar el contenido y ocupa poco espacio en el closet. Me encanto !!
