I originally purchased this vacuum storage bag to store away an extra mattress in my guest room, and it actually works great, the bag is very durable and thick, but not too thick. It is totally foldable and easy to storage away in its box as well. My Queen size bed was actually an 8-inch memory foam, instead of a 6 inch, but it still fits great and work out well. The vacuum seal also works quite well, although, it does appear to take a while to full compressed the entire mattress, because you would want to suck all the air out, so it would be very flat before rolling it up and tie it together.What I also like about this product is, it's very straightforward and easy to use, it also comes with two bag sealer, and 2 Velcro strap, to strap the mattress, which makes it very convenient, because the added accessories was a nice bonus.I got this to store a memory foam mattress topper I have for a queen sized bed. I had tried jumbo-sized vacuum bags but they weren’t big enough. The bag is really large, which is wonderful, and it’s easy to know how to use. That being said, I was hoping it would suck all the air out of the memory foam, and make it squish down. Oddly enough, I couldn’t get it to do that! It’s like it vacuumed all the air from the bag around the foam, but not the foam itself. I have a full-sized vacuum, so I figured it wasn’t lack of suction. I tried a few things, such as sitting on the foam to suck out the extra air. It worked a little but not as much as I wanted. What I ended up doing was folding up the mostly deflated bag, then putting the included straps around as tight as I could, then vacuumed again. I was hoping to be able to make the vacuum bag as smooth as it looks in the pic, but no luck. I suppose it’s like thinking that the food from a fast food place will look the same as the picture from the ad. ? Anyway, I WAS able to get the foam topper to be the skinniest it’s been since it’s original packaging, and I will have a way easier time storing it. All in all, good product at a fair price.We used it for a queen-sized memory foam mattress topper. I just used a little work bench shop vac and it did the job. The only problem was that the mattress topper, being thinner than a mattress, rolled up tighter so the enclosed tie straps were a little long.Good item just a little over oricedThis was super easy to set up, get the mattress inside and use. However, this bag ripped immediately when we picked it up. It may have been user error, which I take complete blame for, but I still gave it 4 stars because I expected it to be a little more durable as the other reviews had said. As long as you're careful it does work really well and is the perfect size!I use these for my mattress covers on a pull out couch and it’s stores wonderfully! The handles work great too! I’ve purchased 2 of these!Great idea but doesn’t stay sealed so the mattress fluffs up againFor my purposes, it worked like a charm.i had to flatten 2 Twin mattresses, two toppers and bedding including covers and pillows.I ordered the extra high bag 14 inches so it worked great. my mattress was 6 plus 3 topper plus covers and pillows. so it all fit nicely.TIP: to ensure a tight sealing fit for the zipper, follow the instructions and make sure you slide the slider once done to the furthest end up to the parking edge. ALSO endure you run YOUR FINGERS pressing the zipper 3-4 times to ensure no pockets of unclipped zipper. The plastic will become more manuverale and pliable with the passing of the warm fingers after the zipper slider- this ensured that no leaks impeded the compression. USE a good vacuum., BE PATIENT, and I helped it along by walking on the mattress as it collapsed while someone held the vacuum over the valve. This helped the ear to be pushed out easier (less work for your vacuum. ADDITIONALLY, i collapsed it to almost 90 % but not all the way so it would not bee too stiff and I could roll it up. PLUS -the straps came in handy not only to keep the mattress rolled but also helped me lift and carry down the stairs and into my cars' backseat to transport it. and then place it in the storage locker. AS an added precaution i lined the floor so nothing would scrape or snag on the plastic bag. I will be gone for 2 months on vacay-- if i remember i'll take another shot upon my return and let you know if the mattress remained rolled and strapped in my absence.Thus far- 2 weeks - it has held well (just stopped by the storage unit yesterday. Both bags are still intact and rolled up neatly.
