If you are going to change radiator hoses use spring compression clamps. This tool works great, if you have several cars also get the angled model. They are not snap on tools, but they a plenty good enough for the DIY car mechanic. Great value and functions perfectly.So nice to haveThe tool definitely helped make job easier. I was able to use it for the repair job I intend to make. The total time spent using ended up being about 20 minutes and things did not go as smoothly in the first few minutes but was able to quickly adapt. I imagine if the heads were angled a bit differently or if there were more lock positions, job would have been easier but for a tool that does not cost that much, not reasonable to expect a lot.The time and effort the tool allowed me to save for the 1 job I bought this for was well worth the price of the tool for me. German automobiles specifically. For as long as I can remember I’d use standard angle pliers and fight these clamps. I got pretty good at it, but what a waste of time. Check the pics. I used them on a large air intake clamp. Squeeze the pliers and they ratchet and lock into place allowing you to move the clamp out of place effortlessly
